The typical concrete finish produced by both wet spray and dry spray is an open textured coarse finish sometimes described as orange peel in appearance. When concrete is sprayed onto any surface the impact bond is of utmost importance for good adhesion, especially in overhead spraying situations. Less working by trowel yields the highest possible bond strengths and mitigates against de-lamination. An as sprayed finish is the most cost effective surface finish where structural integrity is considered more important than surface asthetics. |
