A wood or plastic float finish is the next step on from the cut and flash phase in achieving a flat, tight tolerance finish to sprayed concrete while at the same time mitigating the level of surface finishing, and is widely accepted as the preferred finish for concrete repairs and over-layments to existing structures. In addition it offers a suitable mechanical key for application of any subsequent protective coatings.
A wood float finish is uniformly flat with a fine coarse texture that hides trowel marks
or other surface imperfections. |
